Tallahatchie is distinctive because of its exquisite flavor. Pleasant aroma and sweet mellow flavor with floral notes and a very smooth texture. It has very few seeds the ratio is less than Shenandoah. Tallahatchie tends to bear large clusters impressive to see though it may require thinning. Yields are medium-high. Ripens mid-season to late. In Maryland mid-to late September. Fruit averages 240 gm, (9 oz) with very few seeds (seed to fruit ratio is 5%).
